Eden University has awarded Zambian artist Macky 2 with a scholarship to study for a diploma in business management and leadershipIn. receipt of the scholarship at the University Macky 2 said, “As musicians – I’ve always said this a number of times. It’s not just about entertaining people, it’s also about informing people, educating people, and inspiring people. How can you educate when you’re not educated? And obviously education is not just about school, it’s every single day we strive to better ourselves to learn. They say knowledge is power, so every day we try and get as much education as possible.” Furthermore, Macky 2 said music is not just a hobby. As we already know, it’s a business that most artists use o feed their families and contribute to the economy of our country. The rapper also talked at length about how grateful he was to Eden for awarding him this
scholarship.
Macky 2 with Eden University representatives Eden University director, Mr. Kelvin Kaunda said a few words about their decision to award Macky 2 this scholarship. “In a bid to support artists, we as Eden University have decided to offer a scholarship to one of our most popular artists Macky 2. Today we will be honoring one of our own celebrated artists. As a university, we’ve decided to come on board to offer Macky 2 a scholarship in one of our best programs and that’s a post-graduate diploma in business management and Leadership.” Mr. Macky 2 awarded scholarship to study at Eden University Kaunda also announced that this is a new program and many people may not be aware of it yet. Some of the instructors for the program are; Chibamba Kanyama and professor Plo Lumumba.
